Environmental Site Assessments

  • We conduct our Phase I ESAs in strict conformances with the current American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) ESA standard.
  • Our Phase II ESAs are designed to target the specific areas of concern for the subject property; this approach provides the most pertinent and useful data in the most cost-effective manner.

An Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) is an investigation designed to determine whether environmental degradation has occurred on a property, and to identify possible hidden liabilities for owners or prospective buyers.  Brad Wheeler has been conducting ESAs in Vermont since 1988, when he assisted with the development of one of the earliest ESA standards, for the Vermont Bankers Association while working for The Johnson Company of Montpelier, Vermont.
